I don't purchase any- I only use free ones I come across. Now, as far as purchased ringtones I presume you purchased them via the Droid? I'm not sure but would think they would show up with all the other ringtones. You can hit the HOME icon to get back to the home screen. Do this until you find the one you want, then press OK at the bottom. Scroll through all of them, tap on any one to hear it. The one chosen for this contact will have a green dot next to it. Another window will open with all your ringtones. Tap on the little symbol to the right of Ringtone. To change a ringtone (pick a different one) for one of your contacts: Go to your Contacts list, finger scroll to any one of them, tap on one to bring up the info (another page will show up), at the bottom of the phone press the Menu button (the symbol with the horizontal lines), menu items will slide up on the screen. Well banshee, I've only had my Droid for less than a week. (Thanks to Jared elsewhere on this thread for the initial info!) I set up some contacts with the new ringtones and they are working fine. Checked it out and all my ringtones are available without me doing anything further. I'll sort that out later when I have time. I also created a new dir called Pix and one called Flix and copied my pix and flix to them. Sooooo, I copied the ringtones to the new ringtones dir on the Droid SD card. The directories in my old LG sd card that had data in them were: Then in the audio dir create subdirectories called " notifications", " ringtones", and " alarms". Then in the media dir create a subdir called " audio".

In better terms, on the Droid SD card create a directory called " media". Notifications: media/audio/notifications Ringtones: media/audio/ringtones Alarms: media/audio/alarms" Now on the root of SD card create the following folders by type, they are as follows: Connect your device to your PC, on the device, got to USB, then mount the SD card. "If you already have music files you'd like to use for ringtones, alarms, notifications, etc. Did some tedious search on-line and found this: OK, I can "mount" the droid to my confuser so I copied the contents of my LG microSD card to the confuser. Droid has one too- but where is it? The fold-out sheet doesb't tell you! Well, I believe you have to take the battery out to get to it. In my LG I had them all on the micro-SD card.

Since no manual came with my droid other the thiny fold-out sheet and the built in help in the droid just shows you how to use the keyboard, I was wondeing how to xfer the rintones to my droid. I had some neat ringtones in there that I garnered from far and wide and wanted to put them in my Droid.
